Fast X is the tenth main installment in the Fast & Furious series.
The film was released in 2023 and continues the story of Dominic Toretto and his extended team. It introduces Dante Reyes, the son of the antagonist from Fast Five, as a new enemy seeking revenge against Dom and his family.
Fast X is part of the numbered main saga rather than a spin-off. Hobbs & Shaw, released in 2019, is a separate spin-off centered on Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw. F9 is the ninth main entry, while Furious 7 is the seventh.
The title uses “X,” the Roman numeral for ten, instead of the number 10. The film was directed by Louis Leterrier and ends with a cliffhanger that continues into the planned final chapter.
