Which film did Beyoncé voice as the adult Nala in 2019?
Answer
The Lion King
Answer
The Lion King
Beyoncé voiced the adult Nala in the 2019 film The Lion King.
Directed by Jon Favreau, The Lion King is a photorealistic computer-animated remake of Disney’s 1994 traditionally animated film. Beyoncé voiced Nala opposite Donald Glover, who voiced the adult Simba.
The cast also included James Earl Jones as Mufasa, returning from the original film, along with Chiwetel Ejiofor, Alfre Woodard, and Seth Rogen. Beyoncé also contributed the original song “Spirit” to the film’s soundtrack.
The 2019 movie follows the story of Simba, a young lion who must face the consequences of his father’s death and reclaim his place as king. Beyoncé’s role is sometimes confused with her later involvement in the 2024 prequel Mufasa: The Lion King, in which she did not voice adult Nala.
