Which Earth Kingdom city is ruled by King Bumi?

King Bumi rules the Earth Kingdom city of Omashu. The city is one of the kingdom’s major strongholds and is known for its enormous delivery-chute system, where citizens transport packages through winding stone channels.

Bumi first appears as an eccentric, elderly king who tests Aang with a series of difficult challenges. His apparent oddness hides extraordinary strength, strategic intelligence, and a deep understanding of Aang’s character. Bumi and Aang knew each other before the war, when Bumi was a boy and Aang was still living at the Southern Air Temple.

Omashu is often confused with Ba Sing Se, the Earth Kingdom’s massive capital, or Gaoling, Toph Beifong’s hometown. Bumi is specifically associated with Omashu. During the Fire Nation occupation, he eventually retakes the city using powerful earthbending and careful timing.
