Tangle Teezer is the detangling hairbrush created by inventor Shaun Pulfrey. Its design uses flexible teeth intended to pass through knots while reducing the pulling associated with conventional brushes.
Pulfrey developed the idea after working in the hair industry and observing how hair was detangled. The product became a notable example of a simple consumer invention whose commercial value depended on design, usability and strong demonstration to customers.
Tangle Teezer was presented on Dragons' Den and later became an internationally sold beauty product. Its success also helped establish a broader category of specialist detangling brushes and led to additional versions for different hair types and uses.
It is distinct from Trunki, the children's ride-on suitcase, and Reggae Reggae Sauce, the food brand associated with Levi Roots. All three are linked with the programme but come from entirely different industries.
