Peter Jones has remained on Dragon's Den since its first series.
Jones is a British entrepreneur and investor whose businesses have included interests in technology, media, property, and retail. On the programme, he evaluates entrepreneurs' proposals, examines their financial assumptions, and negotiates possible investments.
The panel has changed substantially over the years. Investors such as Theo Paphitis, Duncan Bannatyne, James Caan, and others have left or joined at different times, which can make the programme's original lineup easy to confuse. Jones is the continuing investor associated with every series from the beginning.
His tall stature and long tenure have made him one of the most recognisable Dragons. Remaining on the show does not mean every pitch received an investment: Jones has often declined proposals when he considered the valuation, market, or business model unsuitable.
