Which Crowded House singer joined Fleetwood Mac in 2018?
Answer
Neil Finn
Answer
Neil Finn
Neil Finn joined Fleetwood Mac in 2018. The New Zealand singer-songwriter became part of the touring lineup alongside Tom Petty and Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell after Lindsey Buckingham’s departure.
Finn was already best known as the frontman of Crowded House, the band behind songs such as “Don’t Dream It’s Over” and “Something So Strong.” He had also been a member of Split Enz, the influential group formed with his brother Tim Finn. That family connection explains one common quiz mistake: Tim Finn is Neil’s brother and former bandmate, but he did not join Fleetwood Mac.
Fleetwood Mac announced the new touring lineup in April 2018. Finn contributed vocals and guitar during the band’s 2018–19 world tour, performing older Fleetwood Mac material as well as songs associated with his own career. The appointment linked the group’s early British-blues history with its later pop-rock identity, since Finn brought a distinct songwriting and vocal style rather than replacing Buckingham as a studio-era band member.
