Which cow is a friend of Mickey Mouse? Clarabelle Cow.
Clarabelle Cow is an anthropomorphic cow and a friend within Mickey Mouse’s circle of characters. She is especially associated with Minnie Mouse, but she has also appeared alongside Mickey, Horace Horsecollar, Goofy and other members of the classic Disney cast.
Clarabelle first appeared as a cow in the 1928 short Plane Crazy and became anthropomorphized in subsequent cartoons. She was also part of the ensemble in Steamboat Willie, the landmark Mickey Mouse film released that same year. During the early 1930s she appeared frequently in Mickey cartoons, often in supporting or comic roles rather than as a central protagonist.
Her closest traditional romantic association is Horace Horsecollar. In some later comics and stories, however, she is paired with Goofy, so her relationships are not completely consistent across Disney continuities. That variation can cause confusion, but it does not change her identity as Clarabelle Cow.
Clarabelle later returned in Disney comics, television programs, featurettes and theme-park appearances. She is sometimes confused with Clara Cluck, another female farm character, but Clara is a hen, while Clarabelle is the cow.
