Starting with the 2022 Winter Olympics, lululemon outfitted Canada's Olympic team.
The partnership began after lululemon was announced as the new Official Outfitter of Team Canada in 2021. The company's first Olympic collection for the relationship was created for the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, supplying apparel and accessories for athletes and mission personnel. Team Canada refers to Canada's national Olympic delegation, not to a lululemon-sponsored club team.
The arrangement replaced Hudson's Bay, which had previously supplied Canada's Olympic clothing. Lululemon's Beijing collection included garments for ceremonies, podium appearances, media events, and life in the Olympic Village. Designers worked with Canadian athletes and incorporated functional layering and adaptive features into the kit.
A useful distinction is that lululemon outfits the Canadian delegation; it does not outfit every Canadian competitor's sport-specific equipment. Individual sports can involve separate technical suppliers, while the official team apparel covers designated Olympic and Paralympic settings. The partnership also continued beyond Beijing, including later Games, but 2022 marks its Olympic debut as Canada's official outfitter.
