Which country won the men's 4 × 100 metres relay at the 2012 London Olympics?

The story behind the answer

Jamaica won the men's 4 × 100 metres relay at the 2012 London Olympics.

The Jamaican team of Nesta Carter, Michael Frater, Yohan Blake and Usain Bolt won the final in 36.84 seconds. The result set a world record, lowering Jamaica's own mark from the 2011 World Championships. The race was held at London's Olympic Stadium on 11 August 2012.

Bolt received the baton for the anchor leg and brought Jamaica from behind to victory. The United States finished second, while Trinidad and Tobago took bronze. A later doping case involving Nesta Carter led to the Jamaican team being disqualified from the 2008 Olympic relay, but that separate case does not change the original 2012 result. The 2012 final remains one of the most celebrated relay races in Olympic athletics.
