Topshop partnered with Beyoncé to launch the Ivy Park clothing line in 2016.
Ivy Park was introduced as an athletic clothing brand created through a joint venture between Beyoncé and Sir Philip Green’s Arcadia Group, which owned Topshop at the time. The first collection launched in April 2016 and combined sportswear with fashion-oriented designs.
The name Ivy Park refers partly to Beyoncé’s daughter Blue Ivy and to Parkwood Park in Houston, where Beyoncé has said she spent time running. The brand later changed business partners: in 2018, Beyoncé and Adidas announced a new partnership, and Ivy Park products were subsequently released through Adidas.
A common mix-up is naming Adidas as the original launch partner. Adidas became the later operating partner, while Topshop was associated with Ivy Park’s initial 2016 launch.
