Topshop partnered with Beyoncé to launch the Ivy Park athleisure brand in 2016.
Ivy Park was announced as a joint venture between Beyoncé and Sir Philip Green, whose Arcadia Group owned Topshop at the time. The brand combined sportswear with fashion-oriented styling and was named after Beyoncé’s daughter Blue Ivy and Parkwood Park in Houston, where Beyoncé exercised with her father as a child.
The first Ivy Park collection launched in April 2016 through Topshop and other retailers. Its marketing emphasized training, confidence, and performance, while Beyoncé’s public profile gave the line unusually broad cultural reach. The partnership later ended, and Beyoncé moved the brand to Adidas.
Adidas announced its partnership with Beyoncé in 2018, and the first Ivy Park collection under that relationship arrived in 2019. This timeline creates a common mix-up: Adidas became the later collaborator, but Topshop was the original launch partner in 2016.
