Beyoncé partnered with Topshop to launch Ivy Park in 2016.
Ivy Park was introduced as an activewear brand created by Beyoncé and Sir Philip Green, whose Arcadia Group owned Topshop at the time. The brand’s name combined “Ivy,” associated with Beyoncé’s daughter Blue Ivy, and “Park,” reflecting an everyday outdoor setting rather than a traditional luxury label.
The first Ivy Park collection was released in April 2016. It was designed around athletic clothing such as leggings, bodysuits, jackets, and tops, and it quickly became associated with Beyoncé’s visual branding and performance style.
The Topshop partnership ended after allegations against Green and a change in the business relationship. In 2018, Beyoncé relaunched Ivy Park in partnership with Adidas. Therefore, Adidas is important to the brand’s later history, but Topshop is the correct company for the original 2016 launch.
