Which company developed Gears of War for the Xbox 360?

Epic Games developed Gears of War for the Xbox 360.

Gears of War was released in November 2006 as a third-person shooter centered on Marcus Fenix and the human war against the subterranean Locust Horde. Epic designed its combat around cover, squad tactics and a distinctive over-the-shoulder camera.

Microsoft Game Studios published the Xbox 360 version, helping make the game one of the platform's signature action titles. The game also appeared for Windows in 2007, and its success established a major Xbox franchise.

The Coalition is a frequent source of confusion because Microsoft later transferred development of the series to that studio. The Coalition developed Gears of War 4 and Gears 5, whereas the original Gears of War was created by Epic Games. Turn 10 Studios is associated primarily with Forza Motorsport, not Gears.
