Which company developed Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled?

The story behind the answer

Beenox developed Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled.

The 2019 game is a remake and expansion of the original Crash Team Racing, which Naughty Dog developed for the PlayStation in 1999. Beenox rebuilt the racer for modern consoles while preserving the original game’s characters, tracks, karts, weapons, and adventure structure. Activision published the finished title.

Nitro-Fueled launched on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on June 21, 2019. Beyond the original CTR material, it incorporates content from Crash Nitro Kart and adds extra tracks, characters, customization, online play, and seasonal Grand Prix content.

The alternatives are understandable because several Crash studios are associated with the franchise. Naughty Dog made the original Crash Team Racing, Vicarious Visions developed the N. Sane Trilogy, and Toys for Bob later worked on other Crash projects. For Nitro-Fueled itself, however, the developer credit belongs to Beenox, a Canadian studio based in Quebec City.
