Which comedian hosted The Late Late Show before Craig Ferguson?

Craig Kilborn hosted The Late Late Show before Craig Ferguson.

Kilborn presented the CBS program from 1999 until 2004. He took over after Tom Snyder, who had hosted the original version from 1995 to 1999. Kilborn’s edition used a more conventional late-night structure, including a monologue, celebrity interviews, and comedy segments.

After Kilborn departed, Craig Ferguson became host in January 2005. The two hosts are frequently mixed up because both were associated with the same CBS title and both used “Craig” as their first name.

Kilborn had previously served as the original host of The Daily Show on Comedy Central. He later left television talk-show hosting and pursued acting and other projects, while Ferguson developed a more improvisational style on CBS.
