Which coalition fought Napoleon at Waterloo alongside the Anglo-allied army?

The Seventh Coalition fought Napoleon at Waterloo alongside the Anglo-allied army. It brought together the British-led force commanded by the Duke of Wellington and the Prussian army commanded by Gebhard von Blücher.

The coalition was formed during Napoleon’s return from exile in 1815, known as the Hundred Days. Its members included Britain, Prussia, the Netherlands, Hanover, Brunswick and Nassau, though the forces were organized into separate allied armies rather than one uniform national army.

A common mix-up is the Sixth Coalition, which defeated Napoleon in the campaign of 1813–14 and forced his first abdication. The Seventh Coalition was the later alliance created after his escape from Elba. At Waterloo, Wellington’s troops held the ridge while Prussian reinforcements arrived and helped turn the battle into a decisive French defeat.
