Fulham were Chelsea’s opponents in the final match of the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend.
Chelsea travelled to Craven Cottage for the west London derby on Monday 24 August 2026. The match was the last of the opening round, following fixtures played on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Chelsea won 3–2 in a closely contested match. The result gave the visitors three points, while Fulham began the season without a point despite scoring twice at home.
Fulham and Chelsea are geographically close, making their meeting one of the Premier League’s local derbies. The fixture should not be confused with Brentford versus Tottenham, which was another London match in the same round but took place on Saturday.
