Which club scored four goals in the biggest home win of the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend?

Brighton & Hove Albion scored four goals in the biggest home win of the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend.

Brighton defeated Aston Villa 4–0 on Sunday 23 August 2026 at Falmer Stadium. The four-goal margin was the largest home winning margin recorded in the opening round.

Other home victories included Arsenal’s 3–0 win over Coventry City, Brentford’s 3–0 win over Tottenham Hotspur, Everton’s 2–0 win over Crystal Palace, and Hull City’s 2–0 win over Manchester United. None matched Brighton’s four-goal advantage.

The wording “biggest home win” identifies both the venue and the margin. Manchester City also won at home on the same day, but their match against Bournemouth ended 2–1. Brighton’s result therefore stands apart because it combined four goals with a clean sheet and established the club at the top of the first league table.
