Which club led the 2026–27 Premier League table after the opening weekend?

Brighton & Hove Albion led the 2026–27 Premier League table after the opening weekend.

Brighton began with a 4–0 victory over Aston Villa, giving them three points and a +4 goal difference. That was the strongest goal difference among the opening-round winners, placing Brighton first after all ten matches had been completed.

Arsenal, Brentford and Everton also won their opening fixtures, but each had a smaller goal difference. Arsenal and Brentford won 3–0, while Everton beat Crystal Palace 2–0. Goal difference therefore separated Brighton from the other clubs with perfect records.

The table was only an early snapshot, not a prediction of the final standings. Premier League rankings after one match are determined first by points, then by goal difference and goals scored when necessary.
