Hull City hosted Manchester United in the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend’s Saturday lunchtime fixture.
The match was scheduled for 12:30 BST on Saturday 22 August 2026. It was the first Saturday lunchtime match of the season and was selected for live coverage on TNT Sports.
Hull City had earned promotion to the Premier League before the season began, returning to the top flight after a nine-year absence. Their first match back was therefore a home fixture against Manchester United.
Hull won 2–0. Their victory gave one of the promoted clubs an immediate three-point start and contributed to a notable opening weekend for newly promoted teams.
