Fulham completed the 2026–27 Premier League opening round by hosting Chelsea.
The match was played at Craven Cottage on Monday, 24 August 2026. It was the final fixture of Matchweek 1 and the only Premier League game scheduled for that Monday.
Chelsea won 3–2, so Fulham finished the opening round without a point while Chelsea began with three. The West London setting also made this an especially local Premier League fixture, with both clubs based in the same part of London.
The game is sometimes mistaken for Everton’s home fixture against Crystal Palace, which was played on Saturday. Fulham’s match was later and brought the entire opening round to a close.
