Stockholm hosted Beyoncé’s first Renaissance World Tour concert in 2023.
The Renaissance World Tour began on May 10, 2023, at Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. The tour supported Beyoncé’s seventh studio album, Renaissance, which was released in 2022. Its opening night marked the start of a global stadium and arena journey built around the album’s dance, disco, and house influences.
The tour later visited cities across Europe and North America. Its set list included songs from Renaissance as well as major hits from Beyoncé’s earlier solo career and Destiny’s Child period. The stage production used elaborate lighting, video, costumes, and large-scale moving set pieces.
Stockholm is sometimes confused with the tour’s first North American city, Toronto. Toronto was an early North American stop, but the world tour itself opened in Sweden. The tour concluded in October 2023 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
