João Pedro scored after 31 seconds in Chelsea’s 3–2 win over Fulham on 24 August 2026.
The Brazilian forward gave Chelsea an exceptionally quick lead at Craven Cottage in the final match of the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend. His goal came before Fulham had settled into the west London derby.
Fulham equalised through Josh King, but Chelsea restored their advantage through Morgan Rogers. Cole Palmer then scored Chelsea’s third goal before Gonzalo García reduced Fulham’s deficit in the second half.
The victory gave Xabi Alonso a winning start as Chelsea manager. It was also Álvaro Arbeloa’s first Premier League match in charge of Fulham. The 3–2 scoreline made the fixture the highest-scoring match of Monday’s opening-round programme and completed a weekend containing 30 total goals.
