Which Cambridge college did A. A. Milne attend before writing Winnie-the-Pooh?
Answer
Trinity College
Answer
Trinity College
A. A. Milne attended Trinity College, Cambridge before writing Winnie-the-Pooh.
Milne studied at Cambridge on a mathematics scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1903. His university years also gave him opportunities to write for Granta, a student magazine.
Although he became internationally famous for children’s literature, Milne was already interested in writing before the Pooh books. He later worked as a contributor and assistant editor at Punch, an important British humor magazine.
Trinity College is also connected with Milne’s literary legacy because the original manuscripts of Winnie-the-Pooh and The House at Pooh Corner are held at Trinity’s Wren Library. The college therefore links both his education and his surviving Pooh papers.
