Keane Lewis-Potter scored Brentford’s opening goal after an assist from Mamadou Sangaré in the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend.
Brentford defeated Tottenham Hotspur 3–0 on 22 August 2026. Sangaré, making his Brentford debut after becoming the club’s record signing, set up Lewis-Potter in the 12th minute.
Vitaly Janelt added Brentford’s second goal before half-time, and Michael Kayode completed the scoring after the interval. The result gave Brentford a convincing start to their campaign.
The players are easy to mix up because all three Brentford scorers were involved in the same emphatic victory. Sangaré was the creator of the first goal, while Lewis-Potter was the player who finished the move.
