Keane Lewis-Potter scored in the 12th minute for Brentford against Tottenham during the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend.
Brentford defeated Tottenham Hotspur 3–0 at home on Saturday, 22 August 2026. Lewis-Potter opened the scoring in the 12th minute, giving Brentford an early lead in a match they controlled decisively.
The goal was assisted by Mamadou Sangaré, Brentford’s club-record signing. Sangaré therefore made an immediate impression on his debut by helping create the opening goal, while Lewis-Potter supplied the finish.
Brentford’s victory matched their best-ever Premier League finish from the previous season and provided a strong start to the new campaign. Tottenham, by contrast, began 2026–27 with a three-goal defeat and no goals scored.
