Sangare supplied the pass for Lewis-Potter’s 12th-minute opener in Brentford’s 3–0 victory. The midfielder arrived as Brentford’s club-record signing and immediately contributed during his first competitive appearance for the club.
His performance was part of an outstanding opening night for Brentford. The Bees controlled the match, added two further goals and kept Tottenham scoreless, giving Sangare both a winning debut and an assist.
