Beyoncé's song featuring the repeated lyric “a diva is a female version of a hustla” is “Diva.” The track appears on her 2008 third studio album, I Am... Sasha Fierce.
“Diva” was written and produced by Beyoncé, Shondrae Crawford, and Sean Garrett. Its lyrics present an assertive, self-directed persona and connect with the album's contrast between Beyoncé's public identity and the more aggressive Sasha Fierce alter ego.
The song is sometimes confused with “Run the World (Girls)” because both are widely recognized as empowerment anthems. “Diva” was released as a single in the United States and became a notable entry on the Billboard Hot 100. Its music video uses stark choreography and fashion imagery that reinforce the song's confident tone.
