“Crazy in Love” features Jay-Z and won the 2004 Grammy for Best R&B Song.
Beyoncé released “Crazy in Love” in 2003 as the lead single from her debut solo album, Dangerously in Love. Jay-Z appears on the track as a guest rapper, while the production prominently samples the horn section from the Chi-Lites' 1970 song “Are You My Woman (Tell Me So).”
The song became Beyoncé's first solo number-one single on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Its energetic video and distinctive horn arrangement helped define her transition from group member to solo star.
At the 46th Annual Grammy Awards in 2004, “Crazy in Love” won Best R&B Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. It is sometimes confused with “Drunk in Love,” another Beyoncé-and-Jay-Z collaboration released years later on the self-titled album Beyoncé.
