Which Beyoncé song features a sample of “I Feel Love” by Donna Summer?

Beyoncé’s song “Summer Renaissance” features a sample of Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love.”

“Summer Renaissance” closes Renaissance, Beyoncé’s seventh solo studio album, released in 2022. The song incorporates elements of Donna Summer and Giorgio Moroder’s 1977 disco classic “I Feel Love.” It also includes a vocal sample from “I Feel Love,” connecting Beyoncé’s dance-focused album to one of electronic disco’s foundational recordings.

The track’s title refers to both the season and Beyoncé’s family name. Renaissance is built around club music, house, disco and dance traditions, and “Summer Renaissance” acts as a celebratory finale. The album also includes “Break My Soul,” “Cuff It,” “Alien Superstar” and “Virgo’s Groove.”

A frequent mix-up is naming “Alien Superstar,” which samples Right Said Fred’s “I’m Too Sexy,” rather than the Donna Summer connection. “Summer Renaissance” is the specific Beyoncé track associated with “I Feel Love.”
