Which Beyoncé song became her first Billboard Hot Country Songs number-one hit in 2024?

“Texas Hold ’Em” became Beyoncé’s first number-one hit on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart in 2024.

The song was released on February 11, 2024, during the Super Bowl LVIII broadcast, together with “16 Carriages.” It blends country instrumentation with a danceable rhythm and uses the name of a popular poker game as its title. Beyoncé co-wrote it with Raphael Saadiq, Brian Bates, and other collaborators.

Its success made Beyoncé the first Black woman to top Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. The song also reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, making her the second solo woman to top both charts with the same song after Taylor Swift.

“Texas Hold ’Em” became the lead single from Cowboy Carter. It should not be confused with “Daddy Lessons,” an earlier Beyoncé song that incorporated country elements but did not become her first Hot Country Songs number-one.
