Which Beyoncé film role featured her as Deena Jones?

Beyoncé played Deena Jones in the 2006 film Dreamgirls.

Dreamgirls is a musical drama directed by Bill Condon and adapted from the stage musical of the same name. It follows the rise of a fictional singing group and the personal and business conflicts surrounding its transformation into a successful act.

Deena Jones is a member of the Dreams who becomes the group’s lead singer. Beyoncé performed several songs for the film, including “Listen,” which was written specifically for the movie and became one of its best-known tracks.

The film also starred Jennifer Hudson, Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy, and Anika Noni Rose. Hudson won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Beyoncé’s role is sometimes mixed up with her later performance as Nala in The Lion King, but Deena Jones belongs to Dreamgirls.
