“Savage Remix” by Megan Thee Stallion featuring Beyoncé won Best Rap Song at the 2021 Grammys.
The original “Savage” appeared on Megan Thee Stallion’s 2020 EP Suga. Beyoncé joined the remix, which was released in April 2020 and became a major chart success. The collaboration connected two Houston artists, making the track especially notable in the context of the city’s music culture.
At the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards in 2021, “Savage Remix” won Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. Megan Thee Stallion also won Best New Artist at the ceremony.
The song is sometimes confused with “WAP,” another highly visible 2020 rap collaboration involving Megan Thee Stallion. “WAP” features Cardi B, not Beyoncé, while “Savage Remix” is the Beyoncé collaboration.
