Which Beyoncé album won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year at the 2025 ceremony?

Cowboy Carter won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year at the 2025 ceremony.

Beyoncé released Cowboy Carter on March 29, 2024. It is her eighth studio album and the second act in a planned trilogy that began with Renaissance. The album draws on country, Americana, rock, folk, blues, and other American musical traditions while questioning narrow ideas about who belongs in country music.

At the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, held on February 2, 2025, Cowboy Carter won Album of the Year. The victory made Beyoncé the first Black woman to win that category since Lauryn Hill won with The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in 1999. Cowboy Carter also won Best Country Album, making Beyoncé the first Black woman to win that Grammy category.

The title is often shortened to Cowboy Carter, but the album’s official title is presented as COWBOY CARTER. It is not the same release as Renaissance, the first act in the trilogy.
