Which Beyoncé album has “Break My Soul” as its lead single?

“Break My Soul” is the lead single from Beyoncé’s album Renaissance.

The song was released on June 20, 2022, and became the first single from Renaissance. It incorporates house and dance influences, including a sample of Robin S.’s 1993 song “Show Me Love” and elements from Big Freedia’s “Explode.” The track’s lyrics center on release, self-worth, and leaving stressful conditions behind.

Renaissance was released on July 29, 2022, as Beyoncé’s seventh studio album. It was presented as the first act of a planned trilogy and marked a strong return to club-oriented sounds, drawing from disco, house, funk, and dance music traditions.

The album title is sometimes confused with its tour title, Renaissance World Tour. The tour began in 2023, while the album and “Break My Soul” arrived in 2022. The song earned Grammy recognition in the dance/electronic field.
