B’Day contains Beyoncé’s single “Irreplaceable.”
B’Day was released on September 4, 2006, Beyoncé’s 25th birthday. It was her second solo studio album and followed Dangerously in Love. The album’s title refers to her birthday and also echoes the word “birthday.”
“Irreplaceable” became one of Beyoncé’s best-known songs, spending ten weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was written by Beyoncé, Ne-Yo, Tor Erik Hermansen, Mikkel Storleer Eriksen, Espen Lind, and Amund Bjørklund.
Other B’Day tracks include “Déjà Vu,” featuring Jay-Z, and “Beautiful Liar,” a duet with Shakira. The album should not be confused with I Am... Sasha Fierce, which contains “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).
