Which Beyoncé album centers on a fictional character named Sasha Fierce?

The story behind the answer

I Am... Sasha Fierce is the Beyoncé album centered on her fictional alter ego Sasha Fierce.

Columbia Records released the double album on November 18, 2008. Its two discs were designed to present contrasting sides of the performer: the more personal “I Am...” disc and the bolder performance-oriented “Sasha Fierce” disc.

The album produced major singles including “If I Were a Boy,” “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It),” and “Halo.” “Single Ladies” became especially associated with its choreography and black-and-white music video.

Beyoncé later explained that Sasha Fierce was a stage persona she used to separate her private self from her performance identity. She said she retired the alter ego after feeling more comfortable bringing those qualities into her own personality.
