Which Assassin's Creed game features London as its main historical setting?
Answer
Assassin's Creed Syndicate
Answer
Assassin's Creed Syndicate
Assassin's Creed Syndicate features London as its main historical setting.
Released in 2015, Assassin's Creed Syndicate takes place in London during the Industrial Revolution, primarily in 1868. The game follows twin Assassins Jacob and Evie Frye as they challenge Templar control and criminal influence across the growing city. London is divided into districts that the twins can gradually liberate.
Syndicate emphasizes the rapid changes of Victorian London. Steam trains, factories, crowded streets, organized crime, and expanding industry shape both the setting and the missions. The game introduces a rope launcher for rapid movement between rooftops and includes carriages for travel and combat.
Jacob and Evie are siblings, and both are playable, although their missions and abilities differ. London should not be confused with Paris, the main setting of Unity, or New York and the American frontier, which are associated with Assassin's Creed III. Syndicate's date is also much later than the medieval and Renaissance settings of earlier entries.
