Jay-Z collaborated with Beyoncé on the 2018 song “Apeshit.”
The track appears on Everything Is Love, a joint album credited to The Carters, the married artist duo formed by Beyoncé and Jay-Z. The album was released by surprise on June 16, 2018, after the couple performed in London during their On the Run II Tour.
“Apeshit” received attention for its energetic rap performance and for a music video filmed inside the Louvre in Paris. The video places the pair and their dancers among famous works of art, including Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, creating a visual contrast between contemporary celebrity and European art history.
Jay-Z is Beyoncé’s husband and a successful rapper, songwriter, and record executive. Their earlier collaborations include “’03 Bonnie & Clyde,” “Crazy in Love,” and “Drunk in Love,” but “Apeshit” is a joint recording from their album as The Carters.
