Jay-Z collaborated with Beyoncé on the 2018 joint album Everything Is Love.
Everything Is Love is a collaborative studio album credited to The Carters, the professional name used by Beyoncé and Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter. It was released on June 16, 2018, initially through the streaming service Tidal and later through other digital and physical formats.
The album followed several years in which both artists addressed relationship strain and reconciliation in their separate work. Its songs present marriage, family, wealth, Black identity, and artistic independence from a shared perspective. The lead single “Apeshit” arrived with a music video filmed inside the Louvre in Paris.
The Carters performed together during the On the Run II Tour in 2018. Everything Is Love won the Grammy Award for Best Urban Contemporary Album at the 61st Grammy Awards. The album is not the same as Beyoncé’s Lemonade or Jay-Z’s 4:44, although those earlier records provide important context for its themes.
