Which arena hosted The International 2018 in Vancouver?
Answer
Rogers Arena
Answer
Rogers Arena
The International 2018 was hosted at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada. The event's group stage and main event took place there from August 15 through August 25, with the main event running August 20–25.
TI8 was the eighth edition of Dota 2's premier world championship. OG won the tournament, defeating PSG.LGD 3–2 in the grand final. OG's victory became one of The International's celebrated underdog stories because the team had entered through the European open qualifiers after a major roster upheaval.
The Vancouver venue was historically significant because it marked The International's move away from Seattle for the first time since 2013. The previous Seattle venue, KeyArena, was undergoing renovation, so Rogers Arena became the tournament's new home for 2018.
The event also featured a crowdfunded prize pool of more than $25 million and demonstrations involving OpenAI Five. Climate Pledge Arena is a later Seattle venue associated with The International 2023, not the 2018 tournament.
