OG became the first repeat champion of The International.
The European organization won The International 2018 in Vancouver, defeating PSG.LGD 3–2 in a dramatic grand final. One year later, OG returned to the championship match at The International 2019 in Shanghai and beat Team Liquid 3–1. That back-to-back achievement made OG the first organization to win The International twice.
OG’s second title was especially notable because the team had reached TI2018 through the European open qualifiers after major roster changes. Its victory over PSG.LGD was widely regarded as an underdog run. The following year, the roster remained strong enough to dominate the TI2019 group stage and advance through the upper bracket.
The answer is sometimes confused with Evil Geniuses, which won The International 2015, or Team Spirit, which won in 2021 and 2023. Team Liquid won in 2017 and again in 2024, but neither result makes it the first repeat champion. OG set that milestone by winning in consecutive years.
