South Park won Best Animated Series at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards.
The long-running animated comedy was selected in the television animation category. South Park is known for its satirical stories, distinctive cutout-style visual design, and recurring Colorado setting, making it distinct from the ceremony’s separate animated-film category.
The nominees included Bob’s Burgers, Harley Quinn, Long Story Short, Marvel Zombies, and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Those titles represent different animation styles and platforms, but South Park was the winner.
This result should not be mixed up with KPop Demon Hunters winning Best Animated Feature. KPop Demon Hunters was a film, while South Park was honored as a television series. The two awards belonged to different sections of the ceremony.
