Which American heavy metal band is famous for the album 'Appetite for Destruction'?

The American heavy metal band famous for the album 'Appetite for Destruction' is Guns N' Roses.

Released by Geffen Records on July 21, 1987, 'Appetite for Destruction' was Guns N' Roses' debut studio album. It was produced by Mike Clink and recorded in Los Angeles-area studios, capturing the band's raw blend of hard rock, heavy metal, and glam-metal influences.

The album initially built momentum slowly, but singles including 'Welcome to the Jungle', 'Sweet Child o' Mine', 'Paradise City', and 'Nightrain' turned it into a landmark success. 'Sweet Child o' Mine' became the band's first and only US Billboard Hot 100 number-one single.

A common mix-up is confusing Guns N' Roses with other late-1980s hard-rock acts such as Poison, Mötley Crüe, or Skid Row. Those bands were part of the same broad era and scene, but none recorded 'Appetite for Destruction'.
