Which actress reprises Sally Owens in Practical Magic 2?

Sandra Bullock reprises Sally Owens in Practical Magic 2.

Bullock returns to the role of Sally, the older of the two Owens sisters. She first played Sally in Practical Magic, the 1998 fantasy film adapted from Alice Hoffman’s novel. In the sequel, Sally remains one of the central members of the Owens family.

Nicole Kidman also returns, but she plays Gillian Owens, Sally’s younger sister. The two actresses are therefore both returning leads, although they portray different sisters. Bullock is also credited as a producer on the sequel alongside Kidman and Denise Di Novi.

The new story follows the Owens family 25 years after the events of the first film. Sally’s elder daughter, Kylie, becomes involved in hidden family secrets and dark abilities. That storyline expands the focus from the original sisters to a younger generation of the family.
