Who performs the cover of “And So It Goes” in Practical Magic 2?
Answer
Brandi Carlile
Brandi Carlile performs the cover of “And So It Goes” in Practical Magic 2.
The song was originally recorded by Billy Joel, but the version associated with the sequel is a cover by Carlile. It is one of three original soundtrack songs recorded for the film’s musical lineup.
The other two newly recorded soundtrack songs are “Caught Myself Believing” by Bleachers and “Blur” by Aldae. These songs are distinct from the film’s orchestral score.
Rupert Gregson-Williams composed the score for Practical Magic 2. That distinction matters because soundtrack songs and a film score are credited differently: Carlile is the performer of the cover, while Gregson-Williams is the score composer.
