Kylie visits Thornfield while searching for Lockland Manor in Practical Magic 2. The town is identified as the birthplace of Maria Owens, the ancestor whose curse shapes the film’s story.
Kylie reaches Thornfield after following visions connected to the Book of Raven. There she meets Tom Bailey, who encourages her efforts to save Gideon and explains part of Maria’s family history. His account points Kylie toward the story of Hannah Owens and Lord Lockland.
The town also links the film’s present-day events to the curse’s historical origins. Maria’s mother, Hannah, served Lord Lockland and was burned as a witch on the grounds of his manor. Tom Lockland later uses that history while pursuing magical power for himself.
Thornfield should not be confused with Worcester Park, where some Hamptons scenes were filmed, or Hertfordshire, the English county associated with Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden. Those are production locations, while Thornfield is the story’s fictional town.
