Which actress plays Ilsa Faust in the Mission: Impossible films?

Rebecca Ferguson plays Ilsa Faust in the Mission: Impossible films.

Ferguson first appeared as Ilsa in Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, released in 2015. Ilsa is a highly capable British intelligence operative whose position shifts as different agencies and covert groups pursue their own objectives. Her uncertain loyalties make her an important counterpoint to Ethan Hunt.

The character returns in Mission: Impossible – Fallout and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. Across those films, Ilsa becomes more closely connected to Ethan’s team while retaining her independence as an operative. Her action scenes and espionage expertise helped make the role one of the series’ central modern characters.

Rebecca Ferguson is a Swedish actress who had already gained international attention through productions including The White Queen before joining the franchise. Her Mission: Impossible role also helped establish her as an action performer. Ilsa Faust is sometimes confused with Grace, the thief played by Hayley Atwell, but they are separate characters introduced in different films.
