Which actress plays Alanna Mitsopolis in Mission: Impossible – Fallout?

Vanessa Kirby plays Alanna Mitsopolis in Mission: Impossible – Fallout.

Kirby portrays Alanna Mitsopolis, an arms dealer and international broker better known by the code name the White Widow. The character appears during Ethan Hunt's attempt to obtain access to a captive extremist in Paris and later becomes involved in the film's wider exchange of prisoners and plutonium.

Mission: Impossible – Fallout, directed by Christopher McQuarrie, was released in 2018. Kirby's role places her among the film's major returning and new characters, including Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt, Rebecca Ferguson's Ilsa Faust, and Henry Cavill's August Walker.

Viewers sometimes confuse Alanna Mitsopolis with her mother, Max, the arms dealer played by Vanessa Redgrave in the first Mission: Impossible film. They are separate characters in the series, and Kirby plays Alanna rather than Max. Kirby later returned as the White Widow in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.
