Which actress played Pam Beesly in The Office?

The actress who played Pam Beesly in The Office is Jenna Fischer.

Fischer portrayed Pam throughout the American series, which ran from 2005 to 2013. Pam begins as the receptionist at Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch and gradually becomes more assertive, pursuing art, sales and office administration while navigating her relationships with Roy Anderson and Jim Halpert.

Fischer’s audition approach helped define the character’s naturalistic style. Casting director Allison Jones reportedly told her to “dare to bore” the producers, fitting the mockumentary’s understated workplace humor. Before landing the role, Fischer had worked office jobs in Los Angeles, an experience that helped her connect with Pam’s receptionist background.

Fischer received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2007. She is also known for co-hosting the Office Ladies podcast with Angela Kinsey, who played Angela Martin.
